You guys, have you seen the awesomeness that Heather has churned out on Closet Case Files?? That sassy lady has gifted us with an adorable retro swimsuit pattern that flatters, is cute, and easy to sew! I’ve been thinking about making a swimsuit for the past few years but could never find a pattern I liked or work up the courage to tackle sewing spandex with my sewing machine (sans serger). But Heather has been gracious enough to not only design a great pattern but host a sew-a-long for swimsuit sewing newbs like myself. The sew-a-long starts on June 17, giving you a week to gather your supplies and get started.
After looking around online for some inspiration, I just ordered this spandex from The Fabric Fairy:
How cute will that be??? I’m thinking I’ll make view A, the gathered bust swimsuit. I also bought some white spandex for contrasting straps and an added bow at the bust. I can’t wait to make this suit!
