Left to right: fabric for McCall 6200 (view B), McCall 6200 (view C), Vogue 8663
Between unpacking (yes, I moved almost a month ago), working crazy long hours at work, and organizing a new knitting get-together night for 20-30 somethings in the area in the past month, I managed to order some fabric for some knit dresses for the fall that I’m going to try to whip up next week on vacation. The fabric and sewing patterns meet my qualifications for sewing success: simple silhouette, easy to sew, and fun prints. Then I can move on to the meatier fall sewing of woolen skirts and jackets, long sleeve princess-seamed blouses, and a fitted dress.
There’s a bunch of things I have planned to work on this week and next for the blog including a tutorial on how I sew with knit fabric, a tutorial on making your own inspiration board, pics of my new sewing nook, and updated pics and details of my Leaflet sweater (almost finished!) and other knitting goodness.
