It was a very knitting-and-sewing themed Christmas at Sew Wrong headquarters this year, and I’m not complaining! Every year my family exchanges books for presents – a very low-key, stress-free solution to holiday gift giving. We email out a list of the books we’d like as gifts, coordinate with each other who’s giving who what book, and bam – Christmas solved. As usual this year, my “wish list” consisted of knitting and sewing titles.
Above, from left to right:
Knitwear Design Workshop by Shirley Paden
A Field Guide to Fabric Design by Kim Kight
The Burdastyle Sewing Handbook by Nora Abousteit and Alison Kelly
I was also told that Finishing School: A Master Class for Knitters is back-ordered but on its way to me soon. Can’t wait!
A YARN SWIFT AND BALL WINDER. OMGKNITTINGJOYFTW.
My wonderful boyfriend knew I’ve been wanting one for a veryveryvery long time and I was planning on saving my pennies and buying one this year after the holidays. Maybe he was tired of holding my yarn for me when I needed to turn my hanks into balls? And he got me the nice wooden one too!
He’s my very own Handmade Ryan Gosling.
Ooo pretty yarn balls wound by my yarn swift and ball winder 🙂
What crafty presents did you get this year?
Oh I love it! I received some craft books as well; specifically one on using scraps (Sandi Henderson's 'Sewing Bits and Pieces'), which I'm really excited about!
Do you feel happily overwhelmed and not know where to start?? I do! =D
Ooo Sewing Bits and Pieces looks like a interesting craft book, I'll have to check that out.
And happily overwhelmed is a good way to describe how I feel right now with all of these goodies!
