As I was cleaning up my apartment this afternoon, I found some “wall art” I made back in February that I never hung up in my sewing area: a sewing machine stitch sampler and a collection of vintage buttons from my stash; both frames are from Ikea.  I have one more big frame left, just need to figure out if I want to frame a piece of fabric I like or some vintage sewing pattern envelopes…

Today, I’m driving back to Boston after a week of relaxing, spending time with my family, and of course – sewing.  Yes, it was Sewcation 2013 last week, and it consisted of sewing nothing but skirts: I managed to crank out three new skirts to add to my spring wardrobe.  I’ll be sharing them all on the blog soon, so stay tuned!
