Ignite Craft Boston 2 was this past Friday (the 13!) and I survived the anxiety and nervousness of presenting to a room of about 200 strangers pictures of what I used to wear in high school. It was a great group of presentations this year, everything from how to make pie crust and mating bees to hornsmithing. I especially loved Virgina’s presentation about how she started Gather Here in Cambridge – very inspiring.
This is the dress I made for my presentation – not the best picture of it (my photographer aka boyfriend didn’t want me to post it since it’s not up to his usual standards), so I’ll be doing a shoot this week and post a review of the pattern I used. Isn’t it a crazy funky print? Perfect for a speech on how I use sewing as a means to express myself.
Video of the speeches should be posted online and when they are, I’ll definitely link to it on the blog.
Congratulations! You did it! You are very talented and glad to see you had the confidence to go forward with your talent. And it WAS Friday the 13th! LOL! I like your "on the needles" part of your blog. Is that what YOU are knitting right now? How do you get that on your blog as I would like to do that. I'm just a beginning knitter but already I have multiple projects going and I crochet and sew and do applique etc. Thanks for all your work and inspiration.
Thank you so much! You're correct, my "On the Needles" is what I'm currently working on in my spare time. It's a widget on Ravelry; if you're on there you can find directions on how to add it to the sidebar of your blog.
